HOT HAIRSTYLES FOR SHORT NATURAL HAIR

I am sure yo have gone through many internet articles filled with short hairstyles, hot hair, if you are transitioning or just took the plung for a big chop and simply not sure what to do or how to feminize your look it helps to be able to see what others with your hair texture or length have done and how their How To's can help you.
My experience going natural is somewhat different because I took the long road and transitioned to  my comfortable length before cutting, but i did have to learn how to care for a short natural hair.  I used many videos during my journey and I want to take the time to share them with you and maybe help you along your way.

4 Care Tips for TWA

 1.  MOISTURIZING IS KEY TO YOUR ROUTINE

Your new hair is very delicate and will require different type of care.  Moisturizing and sealing can be done everyday or every other day depending on your style.  During my short hair period I used the LOC method "Liquid Oil Cream."   Use water based products or aloe vera juice (my go to moisture plant) to for your liquid.  Select a natural oil of your choice for sealing - coconut, olive oil etc.  While your hair is short getting it wet should not be a deterrent.

2. TAKE CARE OF YOUR SCALP

Your scalp is very important and when you have a TWA you have to make sure your scalp is and remains healthy because you have less coverage from the elements.  Keep your scalp clean, clarify when needed and pay attention to massaging your head with your favourite oils as often as you can to keep the blood circulating.

3. PROTECT YOUR HAIR

No matter the length or texture of your hair it will require protection.  Friction occurs while we sleep and our head moves on the beds surface, covering with a satin or silk scarf or cap is always recommended or opt for a satin pillowcase if you can.  Protecting your hair will be beneficial in the long run as it helps with growing your hair.

4. MAKE STYLING FUN

Though the experience will be new to you, try to enjoy the journey.  If you are into accessorizing, styling or playing around with products and colour mkae sure you have some fun with it.  Below are 4 video tutorials on styling and 1 on the proper way to massage your scalp.
